World leaders condole the death of former US President Jimmy Carter
Washington: Following the passing of former US President James Earl Carter Jr. in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 100, world leaders have sent their condolences. His lifetime dedication to peace, democracy, and humanitarian endeavors was emphasized in the tributes.
Carter’s “lifelong dedication to peace” and decades of “selfless public service” were praised by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“Throughout his life, Jimmy Carter was a staunch supporter of the rights of the most vulnerable and tirelessly fought for peace,” said French President Emmanuel Macron. France offers the American people and his family its deepest condolences.

He had undergone treatment for an aggressive kind of melanoma skin cancer in recent years, with tumors that had migrated to his brain and liver.
