Tulsi Gabbard’s visit to India highlights friendship between PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump
Washington DC: Read the statement from the office of US Director of National Intelligence (DNI); Tulsi Gabbard’s trip to India underlined the decades-long strong India-US connection supported by the friendship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump.

On her multi-nation journey to the Indo-Pacific area, DNI Gabbard just visited India. She engaged in various bilateral activities during her visit, including with NSA Ajit Doval, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and PM Modi. She also paid attendance to the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi.
The statement said, Gabbard’s discussions in India focused on intelligence sharing, military, counterterrorism, and transnational threats.
Gabbard underlined throughout her comments at the Raisina Dialogue the group effort to further President Trump’s objectives of a peaceful, free, safe, and rich society.
“President Trump remains relentless in his commitment to achieving peace through a strategy rooted in realism and pragmatism,” DNI Gabbard stated. She said, “Securing peace through strength requires strong leadership with a clear-eyed and realistic awareness of global challenges and opportunities, a commitment to fostering cultural and economic ties that reduce the likelihood of an escalation to conflict, and a dedication to reinforce mutual interests.”
Gabbard appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi inviting her to the Raisina Dialogue. She observed that for decades the two countries have had close connections.
Gabbard added, “I really want to thank Prime Minister Modi for the invitation, to come together with new friends, to see old friends here from around the Indo-Pacific region. I leave right after our conversation here to return to Washington, DC, but it has been a positive few days where I have been interacting with our Indian colleagues, trying to keep the momentum generated by President Trump and Prime Minister Modi’s joint statement issued in Washington, DC, running.
Gabbard also visited Hawaii, Japan, and Thailand, where she spoke with senior intelligence officials and diplomats during her trip to the Indo-Pacific area, the statement said.
DNI Gabbard stopped in France on the way back to Washington D.C. to meet U.S. officials and French authorities on counterterrorism and other cooperative initiatives.
