The UAE is playing a leading global role in increasing rainfall through its advanced efforts in cloud seeding
Abu Dhabi: The UAE is leading the world in increasing rainfall via its cutting-edge cloud seeding operations, according to Luca Delle Monache, Director of Research at the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes (CW3E).
During his attendance at the worldwide Rain Enhancement Forum, Monache spoke to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and characterized the gathering as a useful professional experience that brings together a renowned collection of worldwide specialists in the area.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) would be crucial to cloud-seeding operations in the future, he said, highlighting the most recent technical developments shown at the conference. He said that as compared to conventional techniques, these drones have a number of benefits in terms of increased accuracy and efficiency.
Monache also discussed his research effort, which was recognized with a grant in the UAE Research Programme for Rain Enhancement Science’s fourth cycle. According to him, the project is now in its third year and is nearing its conclusion, with all tasks anticipated to be finished by August.
