Taylor Swift reacts to Beyonce being declared the greatest pop star
According to Page Six, singer and songwriter Taylor Swift expressed her delight and support for Beyonce after she was crowned the best pop performer of the twenty-first century by Billboard.
According to the individuals the tabloid quoted, “Taylor will always support strong female artists and thinks Beyonce is so deserving of this honor.”
Swift is okay with being the runner-up and is aware that her supporters are disappointed that she did not get the top honor.
“Taylor appreciates all the fan support she’s received but she knows Beyonce is a legend in the music industry and Taylor’s honoured to have landed in the number two spot next to her,” according to insiders.
“Taylor is proud of what she’s accomplished regardless of what spot she holds.”
Swift was named the second-best pop singer of the twenty-first century by the staff, according to a Billboard article last week.
“While Taylor Swift is the century’s biggest pop star by the numbers, Beyonce tops our staff-chosen editorial list based on her full 25 years of influence, impact, evolution,” Billboard said in a statement.
Swift and Beyonce have been mutually supportive for a long time.
Their relationship started in 2009 when Kanye West rushed the stage and disputed Swift’s best female video award for “You Belong with Me.” At the MTV Video Music Awards, the 32-time Grammy winner summoned Swift, then 19 years old, back onto the platform.
Since then, the two have publicly defended one another, as seen by the 2015 remark made by the “Red” singer that she loves Beyonce “more than the normal amount”.
According to Page Six, Beyonce premiered “RENAISSANCE: A Film By Beyonce” the next month, while Swift released her Eras Tour concert video in October.
