Stars Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut will present nominations together for the 82nd Annual Golden Globes

Stars Morris Chestnut and Mindy Kaling have joined forces to present the 82nd Annual Golden Globes nominations.
According to Deadline, CBS will air the candidates’ broadcast on December 9. The candidates for each of the 27 award categories will be introduced by Kaling and Chestnut.

This year, there will be two new award categories: Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures.

The film categories of Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy, and Best Motion Picture-Animated are additional competitive categories. Among the TV categories are Best Television Limited Series, Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical, and Best Television Series-Drama.

Alfre Woodard, America Ferrera, Angela Bassett, Anna Kendrick, Cedric “The Entertainer,” Chloe Grace Moretz, Christian Slater, Dakota Fanning, Danai Gurira, Dennis Quaid, Don Cheadle, and Garrett Hedlund are among the past Golden Globes nominees who presented.

Additionally, comedian Nikki Glaser will host the next Golden Globe Awards this time around.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glaser will host the 82nd annual Golden Globes in January 2025.”I am incredibly excited to be hosting the Golden Globes,” Glaser stated in a statement. I get a first row ticket for one of my favorite TV evenings (in fact, I believe I have to host from the stage).

“The Golden Globes are a big night for comedy as well as TV and movies,” she said. It’s one of the rare occasions when the entertainment industry not only permits but actively promotes its own affectionate parody (at least that’s what I hope). (Thank God, I hope so). Because it’s live, unexpected, and in front of Hollywood’s top stars—who may also be getting inebriated while sitting next to their recent ex-partners—it’s a thrilling but difficult task.
