Singer Adele wishes her son Angelo and fiancé Rich Paul a special Las Vegas residency

One of the most important things that comedian and actress Whitney Cummings has learnt over her career is to be “super comfortable with rejection,” according to People.
“This business is mostly rejection,” Cummings said.

She said that as time went on, she came to see that rejection may sometimes be a benefit since it presents a greater chance for development.

She cited singer and performer Sabrina Carpenter as one example, revealing that she declined a part on the ABC comedy “The Conners,” where Cummings was temporarily showrunner.

“Sabrina Carpenter tried out, but it wasn’t a good match. Regarding the part that eventually went to actress Emma Kenney, she remarked, “She was rejected that day when we were casting the daughter.”

“And by the way, thank God we said no to her,” Cummings remarked, “because she’d be stuck on a sitcom set and not being Sabrina Carpenter.”

Starring on the Disney Channel sitcom “Girl Meets World” first brought Sabrina prominence, and she went on to become well-known thanks to songs like “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste.” ‘Short n’ Sweet’ is her current worldwide tour.

“I think that we’re still trained in our society to want to win and get a yes,” she added, referring more to rejection.

Because you’ll be trapped on the incorrect show for seven years, sometimes receiving a yes is the worst thing you can receive. You’re not doing the right thing.

The greatest advise she received in the profession, she said, was to “get your personal life in order, save the drama for your work — you know, have a boring life.”

People stated that Cummings, who gave birth to her first kid in December 2023, now runs the ‘Good for You’ Podcast, where she conducts weekly interviews with “guests (friends, comics, celebs, experts, weirdos)”.
