Rehabilitation Policy Committee in Abu Dhabi holds meeting to review results of seven technological development projects

At its most recent monthly meeting, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department’s Correctional and Rehabilitation Policies Committee reviewed the results of seven technological development projects that were put into place in 2024.

These initiatives were created to use modern technology and clever solutions to improve the efficacy and efficiency of rehabilitation and correctional facilities around the emirate.

The committee evaluated the outcomes of these initiatives and their contribution to enhancing operational procedures, implementing creative center management solutions, modernizing intelligent monitoring systems, and implementing alternative forms of discipline during the meeting, which was presided over by Counselor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.

Al Abri emphasized that the creation of the alternative punishment and rehabilitation programs is in accordance with the directions of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Chairman, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. \

In order to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s standing as a world leader in cutting-edge judicial systems founded on human values and innovation, these directives center on promoting an inventive and sustainable correctional approach.

By offering innovative programs that rehabilitate prisoners and ease their reintegration into society as contributing members, he said, this strategy seeks to strengthen the function of correctional facilities.

Al Abri emphasized the need of keeping an eye on performance metrics pertaining to alternative sanctions and enhancing collaboration with key partners in this field.
