“Despite protests and demands for justice in Khuzdar and Kharan districts of Balochistan, the oppression and suffering that the Baloch families endure persist,” BYC said in a post on X. For the last 38 hours, the family of Asma Baloch, who was kidnapped by force, and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee Khuzdar Zone have been demonstrating and blocking the major highway (N-25). They have said unequivocally that the roadway would remain closed until their daughter is safely returned and those responsible, who are supported by tribal sardar and intelligence services, are held accountable.”

The committee emphasized how the people staged a protest to raise awareness of the problem and how a full shutter-down strike was observed.

BYC also raised awareness of the family of missing people Mubarak Baloch and his younger brother Hazrat Ali Baloch’s continuous sit-in protest, which is now in its third day.

“BYC asks that Asma Baloch, Mubarak Baloch, and Hafiz Baloch be returned safely and immediately. Otherwise, BYC would broaden the protest and declare the next step of action if nothing was done. We also urge the people of Balochistan to come up and condemn this cruel and unethical behavior. In its closing words, the post said that “all facets of society, including academics, activists, religious leaders, intellectuals, lawyers, and others, must speak against this systematic genocide destroying our national fabric.”

Mahrang Baloch, the BYC’s organizer, also voiced his distress over the latest kidnappings.

“With its high rate of extrajudicial executions and enforced disappearances, Balochistan continues to rank among the most hazardous areas for human rights. Mahrang Baloch said on X, “The international community mainly keeps quiet about this continuous brutality, while Pakistan’s security forces and their affiliated militias operate with impunity.”
