“Today, I address all those who appreciate Ukraine, adore their state, and proudly name it “Mine,” Zelenskyy said in his late Tuesday New Year’s greetings to the country’s residents. I’m grateful for 2024. Our people, who bear all hardships with honor. People who take pride in their Ukrainian citizenship. And I’m proud to be the president of Ukrainians who demonstrate that a country with wings can repel a cruise missile.

In his New Year’s wishes, Zelenskyy also discussed his discussions with US senators Joe Biden and Donald Trump since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“I recall talking to Joe Biden after the Russian invasion. I recall talking to Donald Trump after his election. Throughout all of the discussions with senators, congressmen, regular Americans, and other supporters of our cause in the US, Europe, and beyond, there was consistent agreement on one fundamental point: Putin cannot prevail. “Ukraine will win,” Zelenskyy said.

“I thank all Americans for demonstrating these words through actions,” he continued. I am confident in the incoming American president’s willingness and ability to bring about peace and put a stop to Putin’s aggressiveness. He knows that without the second, the first is impossible. Because you don’t have to quiet down both sides in a street brawl. This is a crazy state’s full-scale assault on a civilized state. And I think that we can use that force in conjunction with the United States.”

When 189 Ukrainians were released from prison and returned to their homeland, we were filled with joy. so they’ll be spending the New Year at home. because we are returning our people. 1,358 individuals this year. 3,956 people from Ukraine throughout this period. And because each one represents a person—our person, a very significant person—I’m providing exact figures rather than estimations. And we revitalize Ukraine with every return,” Zelenskyy said.

“May 2025 be our year,” he continued. the Ukrainian year. We are aware that we will not get peace as a gift. However, we will stop at nothing to put an end to the conflict and halt Russia. This is what we all hope for.
