“I am pleased to propose Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, to be the National Institutes of Health’s director. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Bhattacharya will collaborate to lead the country’s medical research and produce significant findings that will advance health and save lives, according to the announcement.

“Bhattacharya holds the positions of Senior Fellow by courtesy at the Hoover Institution, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and Stanford Freeman Spogli Institute in addition to being a Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economics Research. The Center for Demography and Economics of Health and Aging at Stanford is led by him.

His research focuses on disadvantaged people’s health and well-being, highlighting the importance of government initiatives, biomedical innovation, and economics. Jay is a co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, which was put out in October 2020 as an alternative to lockdowns. Journals of Economics, Statistics, Law, Medicine, Public Health, and Health Policy have all published his peer-reviewed work. He graduated from Stanford University with a doctorate and a doctorate in economics,” the statement said.

In reference to Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again,” the campaign claimed that Bhattacharya and his group will “make America healthy again.”

As they investigate the root causes of and potential solutions for America’s greatest health issues, such as our crisis of chronic illness and disease, Jay and RFK Jr. will work together to return the NIH to the Gold Standard of Medical Research. They will put forth a lot of effort to “Make America Healthy Again.”

“I am honored and humbled by President Donald Trump’s nomination of me to be the next NIH director,” he said in a post on X. In order to restore America’s health, we will restructure American scientific institutions to regain their credibility and use the results of superior research.”

The US Department of Health and Human Services houses the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is the country’s medical research organization.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visited with Bhattacharya this week, and he was pleased by his plans to change the NIH. He presented a plan for NIH reform that called for a dramatic change in the organization’s focus.
