President Donald Trump displayed warmth and cordiality towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Washington, DC: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US, US President Donald Trump showed him warmth and friendship, which further cemented the two leaders’ relationship and the two countries’ growing relationship. President Trump set the tone for their meeting by giving PM Modi a warm embrace when he arrived at the White House on Thursday (local time).

“We missed you; we missed you a lot,” President Trump said as he thanked them during their meeting, reaffirming the warm and friendly connection that began during Trump’s first term in 2017.

President Trump gave PM Modi a copy of his book, Our Journey Together, which includes a number of pictures from their previous encounters, such as the “Howdy Modi” and “Namaste Trump” events, in a move that went beyond diplomatic protocol.

The US President further emphasized their appreciation for one another by writing, “Mr. Prime Minister, You Are Great,” in a personal greeting that was engraved in the book.

President Trump showed his affection and respect for Prime Minister Modi by pulling out a chair for him during their talks.

Elon Musk, the director of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio were among the important individuals the US President brought to PM Modi.

Shortly after PM Modi, the Indian team, which included India’s ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra; External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar; and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, arrived at the White House.

President Trump emphasized the close ties between the US and India throughout their conversation, stating that he, Prime Minister Modi, and the two countries have “great unity and great friendship” and that it is “important” that they stay unified as a country. Trump also emphasized that the two countries’ relations would strengthen.

Prime Minister Modi told Trump that he was thrilled to have him return to the White House for a second term and that he was certain the two nations would continue to develop the strategic alliance between the US and India with the “same bond, trust, and excitement.”

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi said that, after 60 years in office, the Indian people have also granted him the chance to serve them for a third consecutive term.

Since the commencement of President Trump’s second term last month, Prime Minister Modi has made his first trip to the United States.

Within three weeks after President Trump’s inauguration, PM Modi received an invitation to visit the US, making him one of the first few international leaders to do so.
