Pop star Lana Del Rey marries her alligator tour guide boyfriend Jeremy Dufren in Louisiana
After weeks of rumors, pop singer Lana Del Ray is said to have tied the knot in Louisiana with her alligator tour guide lover, Jeremy Dufrene.
On Monday, the pair filed for a marriage license in the state’s Lafourche parish, which is located south of New Orleans.
According to documents seen by the BBC, the celebrity signed the contract using her full name, Elizabeth Woodridge Grant.
According to court documents, the application was approved by a court clerk and was good for one month.
According to US media reports, Del Rey and Mr. Dufrene were married on Thursday in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, which is close to Mr. Dufrene’s place of employment as a boat tour operator. They apparently didn’t wait that long.
People magazine said on Friday, citing a source, “The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours.”
Regarding the rumored nuptials, Del Rey has remained silent.
“Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x” was written on the singer’s Facebook page, along with images from one of these tours, introducing the two back in 2019.
This summer, the pair was photographed together in London and at the Reading and Leeds festivals, where Del Rey was the featured performer.
With the release of her self-titled debut album and its breakthrough track “Video Games,” the 39-year-old singer shot to popularity in 2011. Over the course of her nine album releases, she has maintained a glossy and somewhat enigmatic persona.
Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., her most recent release, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and garnered largely excellent reviews.
According to Mr. Dufrene’s background on the Arthur’s Air Boat Tours website, he was formerly employed in a chemical facility before deciding it was “not his calling”.
“After a little convincing by his family, he got his captain’s licence and started running tours,” it states.
“Jeremy’s a great airboat captain and loves interacting with wildlife & customers.”
