PM Benjamin Netanyahu: Israel has “settled its score with that man”
Within hours after senior Hamas commander Yahya Sinwar’s announcement on Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel had “settled its account” with “the person who carried out the worst massacre in our people’s history since the Holocaust”.
In his speech to the relatives of the captives, Netanyahu stressed that although Sinwar’s death represents a significant turning point in the conflict, the mission is far from over.
“Today, our brave soldiers eliminated the mass murderer who killed thousands of Israelis and kidnapped hundreds of others, carrying out the worst massacre in our people’s history since the Holocaust,” Netanyahu said.
We made good on our commitment to pay his bills today. Evil took a serious hit today, but our work is far from over,” he said.
During the address, Netanyahu reaffirmed his “supreme obligation” to free the captives held by Hamas.
“This is a critical juncture in the conflict. Until all of your loved ones—our loved ones—are back home, we will keep going all out. That is our most important duty. That is my most important duty.
Speaking to the people of Gaza, Netanyahu claimed that Sinwar had wrecked their life and that his passing presented a chance to “finally break free from its tyranny.”
Your lives were ruined by Sinwar. He claimed to be a lion, but in reality, he was killed as he ran away from our men in terror while hiding in a pitch-black tunnel. His removal is a significant turning point in the fall of the Hamas evil axis.
Netanyahu vows that Hamas will no longer be in charge of Gaza. “You, the people of Gaza, have a chance to finally rise above Hamas’ oppression as this is the start of the day after Hamas.”
Netanyahu said, “Why we insisted, in the face of all the pressures, to enter Rafah, the fortified stronghold of Hamas where Sinwar and many of the murderers hid,” indicating to opponents both domestically and internationally why his administration insisted on pursuing the war.
Concurrently, the White House issued a statement announcing President Joe Biden’s passing, stating that “today is a good day for Israel, the United States, and the world.”
“My national security team was notified early this morning by Israeli officials that it is probable that Hamas commander Yahya Sinwar was killed during an operation they carried out in Gaza.
Sinwar’s death has finally been verified via DNA testing. It is a good day for the globe, for America, and for Israel. The statement said, “Sinwar was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Israelis, Palestinians, Americans, and citizens from over 30 countries as the leader of the terrorist organization Hamas.”
The October 7th killings, rapes, and kidnappings were all masterminded by Sinwar. According to the statement, “Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on his orders, intending to kill and massacre civilians, a Holocaust survivor, children in front of their parents, and parents in front of their children with unspeakable savagery.”
Yahya Sinwar, the “mass murderer” and mastermind of October 7, was murdered by the Israel Defense Forces.
“Today, IDF (Israeli military) soldiers eliminated mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, who was responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7th,” stated Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katze in a statement.
the attack’s mastermind on October 7 It was believed that Sinwar and Mohammed Deif, the leader of Hamas’ military branch, had plotted the October 7 surprise assault on Israel.
Approximately 1,200 Israelis, mostly civilians, were killed in this attack, which also started a war that has killed over 42,000 Palestinians in Gaza, according to local health officials.
According to Hamas, the incident was carried out to exact revenge on Israel for how it has treated Palestinians and to refocus attention on the Palestinian cause on a global scale.
Because of their suspected participation in the assault, the International Criminal Court prosecutor requested arrest warrants for Sinwar, Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh in May. Although Israel said that Deif was killed in a strike in July, Hamas insists that he is not dead.
