According to Deadline, the movie, which is based on the killing of President John F. Kennedy, has already drawn big-name actors including Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser, and Al Pacino.
According to sources received by Deadline, Leto’s role in the production is almost over, although his contract has not yet been formally concluded.

David Mamet, Levinson, and Sam Bromell co-wrote this suspenseful murder mystery, and the star of “The Dallas Buyers Club” will be joining the cast.

The main character in “Assassination” is Dorothy Kilgallen, a powerful female crime reporter played by Chastain, who begins to suspect that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the only one responsible for JFK’s death.

Kilgallen uses her investigative abilities and public reputation to go out on a perilous journey to find the true assassin. She faces up against strong organizations like the FBI, CIA, and mafia leaders, all of whom are keen to keep her quiet and stop the truth from being revealed.

Jason Sosnoff and Corey Large are the film’s producers; Large is also in charge of funding it.

Jordan Nott, Pia Patatian, Bernie Gewissler, and John Burnham are among the executive producers. According to Deadline, Patatian, who was formerly with Arclight, is managing the worldwide distribution rights via her new business, Cloud 9, which debuted the picture at the American Film Market (AFM) last month.

‘Assassination’ is scheduled to start filming in Boston in early 2025.
