As ADNOC continues to provide value for the UAE and future-proof its operations, Khaled highlighted the company’s domestic development efforts, including its unconventional exploration program, during the meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters. ADNOC is developing new local value chains and propelling industrial and economic development in the United Arab Emirates as it diversifies its business to guarantee a safe and dependable worldwide energy supply.

The first methanol factory in the United Arab Emirates will be built by TA’ZIZ, ADNOC’s joint venture with ADQ, which recently received a contract award. One of the most potential transition fuels is methanol, which provides a cleaner option for power production than traditional fuels like coal and diesel.

Additionally, Sheikh Khaled received an update on XRG, ADNOC’s recently established international investment firm, and its intentions to spearhead revolutionary investments in global energy systems as it expedites ADNOC’s worldwide expansion and satisfies the world’s growing energy demand.

In addition to praising ADNOC’s continuous efforts to establish new standards for sustainable growth and lower-carbon energy production, Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the significance of growing collaborative projects to bolster the UAE leadership’s resolve to reduce carbon emissions and diversify energy sources and the contribution of cutting-edge technologies and environmentally friendly projects to national sustainability initiatives.

In addition to highlighting ADNOC’s continuous efforts to promote local manufacture and enhance the usage of local products and services, he emphasized the significance of the forthcoming Make it in the Emirates event in Abu Dhabi in May 2025.

The event will provide businesses and investors a place to take advantage of the possibilities that the UAE’s expanding industrial sector has to offer. Through its In-Country Value initiative, ADNOC continues to provide local manufacturing opportunities for both foreign and UAE enterprises.

In the Year of Community, Khaled also reviewed ongoing efforts to strengthen family ties, empower ADNOC employees, and reinforce UAE national identity. He emphasized the significance of these efforts in creating a positive and sustainable work environment that supports national talent and strengthens their role in promoting development and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance; Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company.
