Tel Aviv: The implementation of government policy regarding spatial and metropolitan development in areas of demand and in the periphery, as well as in relation to the government goal of lowering housing prices, is made possible by the 2050 Housing Strategy published today by Israel’s National Economic Council. It also allows for a better response to the housing challenges of the State of Israel while preserving social and geographical balance.

The plan forecasts Israel’s population distribution until 2050, breaking it down into districts and subdistricts, three demographic categories (Ultra-Orthodox Jews, Arabs, and non-Urdu Jews, among others), and the housing units that result from these divisions. It is projected that Israel will need an additional 1.83 million dwelling units by 2050.
