Israel kills Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket commander

Israel: According to a joint announcement from the Israel Security Forces (Shin Bet) and the IDF, Israel has killed Khaled Abu-Daka, the chief of the rocket unit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization.

Abu-Daka was attacked yesterday while working in the central Gaza humanitarian zone of Deir al-Balah, the statement said.

Abu-Daka directed rocket fire against southern border villages on October 7 and in the days that followed.

According to the statement, several precautions were taken before the operation to reduce the danger to people, including the deployment of precision weapons, precise information, and aerial observation.
