Industry Minister Nir Barkat said there will be no impact on the country’s ongoing projects with Adani Group
Israel’s existing initiatives with the Adani business will not be impacted by the latest accusations made against the Adani business in the US, according to Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat.
Barkat said, “It’s not our issue,” when asked whether Israel was worried about the Adani Group’s investments in Israel in light of the group’s criminal allegations in the US. It will have no impact on the events in Israel.
He emphasized Israel’s inventiveness and the value of the tight ties between the two countries in an interview with ANI on Tuesday.
“Israel is a creative powerhouse. The global market is relevant to the areas in which we excel. Our industries are highly developed. An environment for growing these concepts in India and affecting the rest of the region and the globe is created by the tight ties between Israel and India, both between governments and between individuals. According to the Israeli minister, India is headed in the right direction.
Barkat also thanked the Indian government for its assistance throughout the challenging times.
“PM Modi made one of the initial calls on October 7. As Israelis, we honor that. We recognize the depth of the bond.
It’s also a chance to express gratitude to the whole Indian government. India, you know how to support us when things become tough. We have a lot of positive memories of India,” Barkat told reporters.
The Adani Group is engaged in initiatives with Israeli companies, such as the production of commercial semiconductors and military drones, and it has a 70% share in the Haifa port in northern Israel.
The United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York released a five-count criminal indictment accusing senior Indian businesspeople, including Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, of participating in a purported bribery and fraud conspiracy.
In a filing with the stock exchanges on November 27, the Adani Group denied the bribery charges brought by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission against Gautam Adani, the Group’s founder and chairman, his nephew Sagar Adani, and MD CEO Vineet Jaain of Adani Green Energy. ‘Incorrect’ news reports on the alleged bribery and corruption charges against Adani officials were highlighted by AGEL in its filing.
The chairman of the Adani firm has said that each assault has strengthened the firm and that each challenge serves as a springboard for an Adani Group that is more robust. The chairman of the Adani Group also considered the persistent accusations against his businesses, including the US short seller Hindenburg’s effort.
