Faisal Vawda: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will not come out of jail
According to The Express Tribune, Senator Faisal Vawda of Pakistan thinks that Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, would not be released from jail since too much time has elapsed.
He hoped that the death sentence would not be used in the case of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (retd) Faiz Hameed and his colleagues.
A charge sheet against Hameed has been created, and sanctions will now be decided, Vawda said during a private TV show. “Faiz Hameed has provided evidence and proof,” he said, according to The Express Tribune.
Vawda emphasized the significance of Imran Khan’s assassination attempt case. He said that another case will surface that would challenge the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He said, “Space must be created and negotiated through dialogue.” The theft of the mandate of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said, has not been addressed by anybody.
“The theft of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not been addressed,” Vawda said. The PTI founder was alerted about the upcoming assault before to the attempted assassination.
He wondered who gained the most from the attempted assassination. “Who was supposed to gain?” he inquired. Everything will be revealed once proof is presented, including phones and computers.
Faisal Vawda said that someone else was involved in the assassination attempt, saying, “It will also come forward.” This individual participated in the assault and is today extremely close to the PTI founder. He said that Qamar Bajwa, the former chief of army staff of Pakistan, may also be held accountable. But when two strong people band together, it becomes challenging.
Vawda said, “When the Prime Minister and DG ISI are aligned, what could the army chief have done?” The Express Tribune reports that he charged Imran Khan of employing Faiz Hameed.
He said, “The army leader deserves praise because no influential person can escape punishment. Why are Hammad Azhar and Murad Saeed staying hidden and not coming forward? He said that a number of well-known members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have left the party.
