Eric Adams Indictment: Adams breaks his silence after federal corruption probe
Eric Adams Indictment: After a federal corruption probe led to an indictment, Eric Adams has spoken up. The mayor of New York City stated via video message that he has been singled out for criticism of the Harris-Biden administration’s policies on the influx of migrants into the city.
“I will use all of my might and passion to combat these injustices. In the video, Adams said, “I believe I am innocent, even if I am accused.
“In order for New Yorkers to hear the truth, I will ask for a swift trial. People in New York are familiar with my tale. They are aware of my origins. “My entire life, I have battled injustice,” he said.
“That fight has continued as your mayor,” Adams said. I placed the interests of the people of New York above party and politics when the federal government did nothing to address the overcrowding of our shelter system caused by its unjust immigration policies.
The Big Apple’s own online funding tracker for asylum seekers claims that the city has lost more than $5 billion as a result of the immigration problem. It’s been revealed that New York City has spent an astounding amount on housing and other services for migrants. Prior to June 30, 2025, the Adams administration estimated that the cost may increase to $10 billion over the course of the three-year term.
“I always knew that I would become a target if I stood up for New Yorkers.”
Adams “always knew” he would be attacked, he told the New York Post in a statement. “I was always aware that I would become a target if I stood up for New Yorkers,” he said.
Adams continued, saying that he will stay in office despite being charged with a crime. The federal government’s “broken” immigration system was another issue he brought up. “I prioritize New Yorkers before political parties and ideologies. Now, if I’m charged, a lot of people could tell me to step down because I can’t run the city and handle the legal battle,” he said.
Adams said, “But the city has continued to improve even though I have been facing these lies for months since I started speaking out for all of you and their investigations started.” “Don’t misunderstand; I will lead this city as you have chosen.”
Adams was allegedly charged with crimes related to a federal investigation by a grand jury. A number of raids targeting officials in the Adams administration were conducted on September 4.
