Dubai: Brand Dubai, the creative division of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), announced the launch of the #ZayedAndRashid campaign to commemorate significant national occasions in the United Arab Emirates, as directed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC).
The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) hosted a press conference on Wednesday to introduce the campaign, which was started in collaboration with 16 government, semi-government, and private sector organizations.
It coincides with AE Flag Day and 53rd Federation Day celebration
The creative project will showcase the wide range of events taking place around the emirate from November 3rd to December 2nd, which coincides with the UAE Flag Day and the 53rd Union Day celebrations. The campaign’s distinctive activities will provide the community with a memorable experience while highlighting the city’s historical accomplishments and cultural diversity and providing tourists with a rare window into the rich history of the nation.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed sent his best wishes to the community and the UAE government on the occasion of the national events being commemorated at this time. The campaign was started to strengthen national identity within UAE society and to honor Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country’s founding fathers, for their crucial role in creating the Union. According to him, the program also provides a chance to expose tourists to the visionary leaders who have had a lasting impact on the history and heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
To make sure that the festivities reflect the attitude of pride and togetherness in the country, Sheikh Ahmed gave orders to coordinate the work of many organizations taking part in the ZayedAndRashid campaign.
He conveyed his gratitude for the efforts of all organizations, whose gatherings and initiatives would bolster the sense of patriotism. The campaign will also emphasize Dubai’s distinct cultural character and worldwide prominence, further solidifying its position as a top travel destination,” he said.
