Donald Trump takes aim at Kamala Harris’ powerful DNC speech, says: ‘She hates Israel’

Donald Trump: Following her acceptance of her party’s presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday, Donald Trump took aim at Kamala Harris, urging an end to the Gaza War and the global struggle against tyranny.

“I know where I stand and where the United States belongs in the enduring struggle between democracy and tyranny,” Harris said, accusing Trump of siding with despots.

This week, protesters supporting Palestine and opposing Israel demonstrated against the Biden administration’s lack of commitment to ensuring a truce in Gaza.

Now, however, Harris has pledged to stop the war, liberate the prisoners in Gaza, and defend Israel. She also made a point of highlighting Palestinian hardship.

She said, “It is time to get a ceasefire and a hostage situation resolved,” promising to “always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself.”

She emphasized that the events that have occurred in Gaza over the last 10 months are “devastating.” Harris said, “So many innocent lives lost, desperate hungry people fleeing for safety over and over again,” describing the extent of suffering as “heartbreaking.”

“President Biden and I are working to bring this war to an end so that the Palestinian people can realize their right to dignity, security, freedom, and self-determination, and so that Israel is safe and the hostages are freed.”

Trump retaliates against Harris

In a litany of derogatory statements, Harris said that Trump had failed to defend the interests of the middle class, was planning to increase taxes with his planned tariffs, and had started the process of removing the constitutional right to an abortion by appointing judges to the US Supreme Court.

Trump posted many comments on Truth Social after having previously promised to respond to her address in real time. He ridiculed her opponent, saying that she represents “weakness and incompetence” and that “our country is being laughed at all over the world!”

He commented, “SHE HATES ISRAEL – Wouldn’t even show up to Congress for Netanyahu’s session!” in response to the US Vice President’s comments on Israel.

This was an allusion to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s most recent visit to the US, during which, without Harris, he spoke before the US Congress.
