Donald Trump gave this big warning to Iran
Friday, Republican White House contender Donald Trump said he thinks Israel should target Iran’s nuclear sites in reaction to the latest missile onslaught from the Islamic Republic.
Speaking at a North Carolina campaign rally, the former president answered a question asked to Democratic President Joe Biden this week on the likelihood of Israel attacking Iran’s nuclear program.
“What do you think of Iran, would you strike Iran? They questioned him. And he leaves, “As long as they don’t hit the nuclear stuff.” You should aim for that, right?” Trump spoke at Fayetteville, close to a large US military post, in a town hall manner.
When asked on Wednesday if he would support attacks on Iranian nuclear targets, Biden said to reporters: “The answer is no.”
“I think he’s got that one wrong,” Trump said Friday in answer to an inquiry about the matter. “Isn’t that what you should be hitting? Nuclear weapons are, after all, the worst threat we face.
“hit the nuclear first, and worry about the rest later,” Trump said when posed the question.
“They will do it if they are intending to. Still, we’ll learn whatever their goals are.”
Responding to the shooting of about 200 Iranian missiles at Israel, Biden on Wednesday voiced his disapproval of such actions against Iran’s nuclear sites.
“We’ll be discussing with the Israelis what they’re going to do,” he said, noting that all G7 members feel Israel has “a right to respond, but they should respond in proportion.”
Locked in a tooth-and- nail presidential contest with Democratic contender Kamala Harris, Trump has spoken nothing about the current Middle Eastern surge in hostilities.
This week he made a biting declaration blaming Biden and Harris for the predicament.
