Chad Dulles announces his exit from ‘General Hospital’
Nearly 15 years after he originally joined the cast of the soap opera, actor Chad Duell has announced his departure from the program “General Hospital,” according to People.
In an Instagram post, the actor provided an update about his exit from the series. He said, “[after] many incredible years with General Hospital, I’ve decided to step away from the show.”
“It wasn’t an easy decision, but it feels like the right time in my life,” he said. The actors, crew, [executive producer] Frank Valentini, and everyone behind the scenes have been like family to me over this incredible adventure, and for that I am really thankful.”
“I want to sincerely thank all of the fans for their steadfast support and for allowing Michael Corinthos to be a part of their life. He said, “This isn’t a goodbye—it’s a see you later. Your love and support have meant the world to me.” Much love, Chad.
Since 2010, Duell has portrayed Michael Corinthos on the ABC soap opera, who is the son of A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
In 2011, 2012, and 2014, Duell received nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Michael Corinthos.
In September 2023, Duell and his girlfriend Luana Lucci had their first kid together. The couple at the time announced the baby’s gender—a boy named Dawson—in an Instagram post.
