Announced not to attend the all-party conference called by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PTI central information secretary and spokesman Sheikh Waqas Akram said in a statement that the party has decided to boycott the APC because of the government’s “silent complicity” in the deaths of innocent citizens and its political backing for those who committed the atrocities.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), according to the Imran Khan-founded party, is a major backer of the government’s attempts to impose limits on PTI.

“PPP has actively supported the nefarious government agenda of banning PTI, particularly through the key role it played in the passage of the resolution in the Balochistan Assembly,” Sheikh Waqas Akram said, as reported by The Express Tribune.

He called the PPP’s continuous crackdown on PTI employees in Sindh unlawful and harassment-inducing. The PTI spokesman said that by holding pointless political gatherings, the PPP was attempting to portray itself as an ally of democracy.

According to The Express Tribune, Akram said that the PPP had no mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that only the PTI had representation in the province. He emphasized that the PTI was successfully handling the province’s problems.

Despite obstacles from the federal government, he commended the province administration’s efforts to handle regional issues, including resolving complex issues via political maturity and administrative measures.

Akram said that the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will give careful consideration to any genuine recommendations or suggestions made by the governor.
