Anne Hathaway and actor-wrestler Dave Bautista are set to star in an untitled action-comedy film

According to Deadline, actor-wrestler Dave Bautista and Oscar winner Anne Hathway will appear in an unnamed action-comedy film written by Jonathan Tropper, of “The Adam Project.”

An alleged FBI operation in which operatives pretended to be a couple in order to infiltrate international criminal organizations is said to have been as the inspiration for the movie. In New Jersey, it suddenly became a staged wedding.

AGBO founders Michael Disco, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Joe and Anthony Russo will produce it. AGBO showed the material to Amazon MGM, its collaborator on the forthcoming movie The Bluff and the second season of Citadel.

The movie will also be produced by Hathaway and Bautista under their respective production companies, Dogbone Entertainment and Somewhere Pictures.

Two undercover FBI agents with very different personalities are compelled to appear to embark on a mission as part of the movie’s mismatched partner scenario, according to Deadline. They don’t like one other at first, but as the case goes on, they come to appreciate each other.

The film’s screenwriter is Jonathan Topper, who also wrote and directed the popular movies “This Is Where I Leave You” and “The Adam Project.”

Additionally, Dave Bautista will appear in the feature film “Jack In Time For Christmas” with Tom Davies, Michael Buble, Jimmy Fallon, and Daisy May Cooper. Whitehall’s Jackpot Productions and Workerbee will produce it.

According to Variety, the project will debut exclusively on Prime Video globally in December.

Whitehall (whose recent big-screen credits include “Jungle Cruise” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog”) will be trapped in the US with just four days to return to the U.K. for Christmas in this program, which is a combination of unscripted travelogue and written comedy.

As time passes, he sets off on a voyage that includes bobsleighs, trains, huskies, and airplanes.
