An earthquake of 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Tibet
Tibet: The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported Wednesday that an earthquake with a Richter Scale value of 4.2 had occurred in Tibet at 3:50 a.m. (IST).

The NCS reports that the earthquake occurred 26 kilometers below the surface. The earthquake happened at latitude 27.87 N and longitude 87.65 E, according to the NCS.

An earthquake with a Richter Scale value of 3.5 rocked Tibet on Tuesday at 11:01 a.m. (IST), according to a statement from the NCS.
According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred 10 kilometers below the surface, rendering it vulnerable to aftershocks. The NCS said in a statement on X that “EQ of M: 3.5, On: 15/04/2025 11:01:56 IST, Lat: 28.90 N, Long: 87.67 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Tibet.”
Another earthquake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale, hit Tibet earlier on Monday night at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers.
“EQ of M: 4.1, On: 14/04/2025 21:48:42 IST, Lat: 31.56 N, Long: 93.40 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Tibet,” the NCS said on X.
