Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that law enforcement is looking into any potential link between the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and the ‘terror’ assault in New Orleans.
Since the cars used in both crimes were booked from “Turo,” a car rental website, investigators began searching for connections between the two occurrences.
“We are investigating the Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. The intelligence community and law enforcement are also looking into this, including any potential links to the New Orleans incident,” Biden said.
Biden promised that all available resources are being used to make sure the American people are not in danger.
Hours after the assault in New Orleans, when a vehicle crashed into a crowd during New Year’s festivities, killing at least 15 people, a Tesla Cybertruck detonated outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one and wounding seven.
The FBI previously called the incident “an act of terrorism” and said that Shamsud Din Jabbar, the driver, had several suspected explosive devices in his car along with an ISIS flag. Additionally, the FBI verified that Turo, an automobile rental website, was the source of the rental car.
