Affleck and Jennifer: After two years of marriage, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, famous actors, are splitting. Based on court records seen by the BBC, Lopez filed for divorce in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday.

The couple, who the tabloids called “Bennifer,” was married in a ceremonial ceremony in July 2022 in Las Vegas and had a more elaborate wedding ceremony in Georgia the following month. They met while working on the set of the 2003 crime comedy Gigli, and that is how their relationship started. They called off their romance early in 2004 although had initially intended to be married that year.

Their connection was revived nearly two decades later.

“Love is a lovely thing. Love is compassionate. It seems that love is tolerant. After announcing the Las Vegas wedding in 2022, Lopez said, “Twenty years patient.”

Lopez or her legal representative must provide Affleck with a copy of her petition to dissolve their marriage, according to a court document in the case.

According to media sources, Lopez—who had officially changed her last name to Affleck—did not include any information about a prenuptial agreement in her divorce filing.

Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, are required to provide their financial details, including their current income, spending, properties, and debts, according to a document submitted in the case to the Superior Court of Los Angeles.

According to the paperwork, both parties must disclose any changes to their financial situation “until there is a final agreement about all financial issues in your case”.
Lopez was given by the court sixty days to make a financial declaration, and Affleck will have an additional sixty days to do the same when she turns in her data.

According to the petition, there may be a court-imposed penalty if one of them neglects to record or update financial information.
Their connection has been the subject of months’ worth of conjecture. They allegedly listed their $65 million (£50 million) Beverly Hills property for sale and were seen out and about without their wedding bands.

Jennifer Garner and Affleck Affleck, a two-time Oscar winner, was previously wed to Jennifer Garner, an actress he first met on the Pearl Harbor set in 2001. After ten years of marriage, they separated in 2015. Together, they had three children.

Lopez has been married four times: first to Ojani Noa, a waiter from Cuba who worked from 1997 to 1998; secondly, from 2001 to 2003, to her former backup dancer Cris Judd; and last, from 2004 to 2014, to singer Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins. The actor and singer J.Lo was formerly engaged to Alex Rodriguez, a great player for the New York Yankees.
