A young boy remains in critical condition after being shot by terrorists south of Jerusalem

Tel Aviv: After a terrorist attack on a bus on Route 60, south of Jerusalem, MDA paramedics and medics are providing emergency medical care.

Among the victims are a 40-year-old lady with minor gunshot wounds and a 12-year-old child in serious condition who is receiving resuscitation.

According to a spokesperson for Magen David Adom (MDA), two other people with minor injuries were also taken from the site and sent to the trauma unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.

Shortly after the incident, Yaron Rosenthal, the head of the local Gush Etzion Regional Council, came on the site.

Rosenthal told Israel’s Press Service, “We are here at the Tunnel Checkpoint following a severe attack on a bus traveling from Beitar to Jerusalem.”

Rosenthal told Israel’s Press Service, “We hope that the terrorists will be eliminated and thank the army and security forces.”

“These attacks do not deter us,” Rosental put forward. “We know how to face them and to continue settling here.”
