A new photo of Donald Trump was put up along with a photo of former President Barack Obama in the White House corridor
Washington, DC: In the White House corridor on Friday (local time), a fresh image of President Donald Trump was replaced with one of previous President Barack Obama.

Trump is seen in the picture just after a gunshot grazed his ear at a July campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. With the American flag in the backdrop and blood spattered on his face, Trump is shown boldly pumping his fist into the air.
Harrison Fields, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary and Special Assistant to the President, emphasised on X that “Obama remains in the Entrance Hall of the White House State Floor.”
Former President Barack Obama’s portrait has been moved to the White House State Floor’s Entrance Hall, while the picture is on exhibit in the East Wing’s Grand Foyer.
According to the New York tweet, Fields’ tweet demonstrates that the Obama artwork is still displayed in a prominent location, above the Steinway grand piano owned by previous President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The new painting, which seems to be an artistic interpretation of one of the iconic photos taken by New York Times photographer Doug Mills in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July, is displayed prominently in the Grand Foyer of the East Wing of the White House, according to the New York Post. White House officials and the White House use social media to share the image.
With the American flag in the backdrop and blood spattered on his face, the artwork shows Trump holding his fist high in defiance as Secret Service officials try to protect him and hurry him off stage.
According to a White House insider who spoke to The Post, the artwork was given to the White House by Andrew Pollack and was created by Marc Lipp.
The 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, claimed the lives of 17 students, including Pollack’s 18-year-old daughter Meadow. Pollack is an author and advocate for school safety.
Since assuming office in January, Trump has infused the West Wing with his own unique style, according to NYP.
Reminiscent of the décor of his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, the President has adorned the Oval Office’s walls, fireplace, and chairs with elaborate gold flourishes.
The front pages of The Post that detail Trump’s incredible political comeback have now adorned the West Wing.
Criticising the decision as “dictator energy”, several social media users have questioned Trump’s motives. Paintings of presidents and first ladies are usually displayed at the White House after their departure from office.
