A drone was fired towards the residence of Israel’s Netanyahu’s office
Israel: Following reports from the military that a drone from Lebanon had “hit a structure” in the central Israeli town of Caesarea, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced on Saturday, October 19, that a drone was fired targeting his house.
An unmanned aerial vehicle, or UAV, was fired in the direction of the Caesarea mansion of the prime minister. There were no injuries sustained in the event, and neither the prime minister nor his spouse were present at the scene, according to a statement from Netanyahu’s office.
It was not immediately apparent whether the building that had been reported as being struck by the military earlier was his private home.
According to the military, it intercepted two of the three drones that were shot on Saturday from Lebanon.
On Saturday, a flurry of rockets was shot into northern Israel from Lebanon, and sirens could be heard periodically across the region.
Meanwhile, Lebanese officials said that two individuals were killed in the first Israeli hit on the region since Hezbollah and Israel began exchanging fire last year, which occurred on Saturday near Jounieh, north of Beirut.
According to Lebanese state media, the incident happened on a vital route connecting the nation’s capital to the north, while the health ministry said that the automobile was struck by an “Israeli enemy raid” near Jounieh.
Israel is engaged in combat with Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, in Lebanon. Just last month, Israel sent ground forces over the border.
The Israeli military claimed to have carried out an airstrike on Hezbollah’s regional command center on Friday.
Hezbollah claimed to have launched a missile barrage into the northern Israeli city of Haifa.
Later, the organization claimed to have fired “a swarm of explosives-laden drones” against an “air missile defence base” to the east of Hadera, a city in central Israel.
