YouTuber and Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has been continuously out of contact with the investigating agencies
New Delhi: According to a joint statement from Mumbai and Guwahati Police, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has consistently neglected to communicate with the investigative authorities. Following his inclusion in FIRs submitted by the Maharashtra Cyber Department, Guwahati Police, and Jaipur Police in the ‘India’s Got Latent’ case, he has not yet responded to investigative authorities, according to the police.
“Ranveer Allahbadia has not yet contacted the Jaipur Police, who have also launched a case against him in addition to Maharashtra Cyber and Guwahati Police. According to a joint statement from Mumbai and Guwahati Police, the Maharashtra Cyber Department has directed Ranveer to appear before it on the 24th.
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has been invited to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on February 24.
The charge filed against Ranveer Allahbadia and others after he caused a stir with his derogatory comments on the program “India’s Got Latent” is being looked into by the Cyber Cell.
On February 18, comedian Samay Raina has also been invited to appear before the cyber cell.
After looking into the situation, the National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned Raina, Allahbadia, and other people.
Many of those who were called, however, did not show up for the commission today, claiming logistical difficulties, previous international travel obligations, and worries about their personal safety.
Ranveer Allahbadia reportedly told the Commission that he was getting death threats and asked for a fresh hearing date three weeks later. The hearing has been postponed until March 6 after the Commission granted his request.
Samay Raina, the presenter of the program, has expressed regret for the comment, saying that his only goal was to amuse viewers.
“Everything that has been happening has been too much for me to handle,” Raina said in a message posted on his Instagram Story. All of the India’s Got Latent videos are no longer on my channel. My only goal was to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. I promise to work closely with all authorities to ensure that their investigations are resolved in a fair manner. Thank you.
