Will ‘Mohabbatein’ be re-released on its 25th anniversary?
If you grew up in the 1990s or are a fan of Bollywood films, you will undoubtedly remember the mania for “Mohabbatein.” This romance drama, which was released in 2000, quickly gained popularity because to its memorable love tales, music, and fantastical narrative. Fans speculate that, like many other masterpieces that have been re-released this year, the legendary movie may have a theatrical re-release as it approaches its 25th anniversary next year.
The ‘chocolate boy’ of that time, Jimmy Sheirgill, who portrayed Karan in the movie, has now responded to this query in a media interview.
The actor said, “25 pe toh karni hi chahie,” when asked whether a re-release was possible. Children still watch the movie whenever it airs on television, and it’s incredible to be a part of a timeless production.”
“Mohabbatein,” which was directed by Aditya Chopra, starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Jimmy Shergill. Under the direction of a stern principle, the film centers on a number of love tales that take place at a prominent institution where discipline and passion conflict. The movie’s soundtrack was a hit song, and its famous lines are still recalled by viewers today.
In the meanwhile, the actor starred in “Sikandar Ka Muqaddar,” directed by Neeraj Panday, which debuted on November 29.
Jimmy portrays Inspector Jasvinder Singh, a resolute police officer pursuing a case that has plagued him for years. Tamannaah Bhatia and Avinash Tiwary also act in the criminal thriller.
Jimmy discussed getting back together with Neeraj Pandey, saying, “This is my sixth movie with him. We always like working with him. We’ve worked on movies like A Wednesday and Special 26, and Sikandar Ka Muqaddar is a fascinating new project.
