Virendra Sachdeva targeted Arvind Kejriwal’s statement on the water situation in the city
New Delhi: Virendraa Sachdeva, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi, attacked Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks on the city’s water status and said that he was lying.
“Today, Arvind Kejriwal has lied once again. In Delhi, the water supply situation is worrisome. The outrageous water bills, which total lakhs, have been upsetting many locals who were previously leading tranquil lives. Speaking to the media, Sachdeva said, “Kejriwal has declared that the people should wait for elections and not clear these bills.”
The BJP president further asked why water bills were issued if Kejriwal owned the government and the Jal Board.
“Where are these bills coming from if the government, the ministers, and the Jal Board are all yours? This is simply the tanker mafia’s game, and this is just your corruption. Why don’t you just waive these water bills? You merely want to deceive others. We’re going to get this AAPda out of Delhi,” Sachdeva said.
Kejriwal claimed earlier on Saturday that his administration had been giving out free water to the public for a decade.
“For the last ten years, our Delhi government has been giving citizens free water. Over 12 lakh households get no water bills. However, Kejriwal told the reporters, “I don’t know what these people did after I went to jail.”
Kejriwal said that individuals began receiving water bills of thousands of rupees because of an error committed by the opposition.
People began receiving monthly water bills totaling hundreds and lakhs of rupees after they made a mistake. I want to formally and publicly declare that those who believe their water bills are incorrect do not have to pay them; instead, they should wait,” he said.
