Valsad police arrested in alleged serial killer for raping and murdering a girl
Valsad: A suspected serial murderer was taken into custody by the Valsad Police for the November 14 rape and killing of a female.
According to police sources, the accused, Rahul Singh Jat (29), a Rohtak resident with a disability, had raped and killed a 19-year-old female in Motiwada.
Rape and murder were determined to be the cause of death by a forensic postmortem examination of the victim’s body.
The accused used to ride on trains in an open manner, taking advantage of his infirmity.
As soon as the Valsad Police learned of the occurrence, they promptly filed a formal complaint. With the assistance of railway security staff, a team consisting of ten Police Inspectors (PI) and four Deputy Superintendent Police (DYSP) inspected all adjacent train stations.
The Jodhpur Police nabbed the accused for stealing and other offenses within 11 days after using CCTV video, backtracking, and forward tracking to hunt down the accused. On the other hand, he was freed from that place on November 15 and went on to conduct five murders.
According to Valsad Superintendent (SP) Karanraj Vaghela, the accused was subsequently discovered traveling to Vapi by rail, where he was taken into custody by the police.

We discovered a guy with a similar face after looking through the CCTV video, and with the use of forward and backtracking, we were able to determine that he had previously been detained at the Jodhpur prison. However, he was seen traveling to Vapi by rail when he was apprehended by the authorities,” Valsad Superintendent (SP) Karanraj Vaghela told ANI.

“The accused admitted to committing five killings after being freed from the Jodhpur prison when we apprehended him and questioned him. The Pune-Kanyakumari Express was the scene of the most recent homicide. The police are currently investigating this matter, and the victim is yet unidentified,” the SP said.
