Under the direction of Sub Inspector Surendra Singh, the SDRF team from Post Dhalwala promptly departed for the location with the required rescue gear after receiving the aforementioned information.

Two persons, identified as the driver and conductor, were critically hurt when the oil tanker, which was headed towards Chamba, lost control at Bemund in the Thana Narendranagar district and plunged into a ditch 150 meters deep from the main road.

The SDRF team arrived at the scene of the incident right away, climbed into the deep ditch in the dark, and accompanied the district police to the two injured people. After much effort, they were carried to the main road in critical condition using a stretcher and rope, and an ambulance took them to the hospital.

In a coordinated effort, the Uttarakhand SDRF had earlier on November 8 saved a young person who was stuck in the middle of the Mandakani River while attempting to cross it in a trolley close to the Uttarakhand town of Agastyamuni.

The trapped person was freed by the SDRF’s combined operation on Thursday with the Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), local police, and fire department.

Information indicates that a technical issue caused the trolley to get stuck in the middle of the stream, resulting in the incident.

The town of Agastyamuni is situated in the Rudraprayag district of the state of Uttarakhand, on the banks of the Mandakini River.
