Uttarakhand CM expressed gratitude for Rishikesh being included in the list of 40 major tourist destinations

Dehradun: In an effort to boost the nation’s tourism industry and elevate it to a global standard, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has conveyed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for adding Yoganagari Rishikesh to the list of 40 popular tourist destinations.

According to the Chief Minister, a modern rafting base station would be built in Rishikesh under this initiative, costing Rs 100 crore. In addition to promoting water sports, this project will provide visitors with an enjoyable and easy experience.

The rafting base station’s development, he said, will boost the state’s economy and open up new job prospects for the local population.

For the benefit of the state, the chief minister has been involved in a number of development initiatives.

According to an official announcement earlier on Friday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami authorized Rs 66.12 crore for the development of roads and bridges in many assembly seats.

The approved amount includes Rs 12.45 crore for the construction of a 3.100 km canal from Chaufula Square to Kathghariya Square and an 8.200 km canal from Panchakkki Square to Kamaluwaganja, totaling 3.800 km under the Kaladhungi Assembly Constituency of Nainital District; Rs 3.46 crore for the improvement of Kalsan Thantha Motorway to Banoli Sudarka; and Rs 10.86 crore for the widening and improvement of Lambarpur to Langha Motorway by DBM and BC in the Vikasnagar Assembly Constituency of Dehradun District, from one and a half lanes (5.50 m) to two lanes (7.00 m).

According to the statement, the Chief Minister has authorized 9.58 crores for the Shaheed Shiromani Chilkoti (Gaudi-Kimatoli) motor road improvement project in the Champawat assembly constituency of the Champawat district and 5.98 crores for the hotmix DBM/BC internal road improvement project in Tanakpur in the Champawat assembly constituency of the Champawat district.
