“In line with the vision of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, there has been significant progress in the mining sector during the current financial year 2024-25,” reads a statement issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations.

“From April to November 2024, the state earned a revenue of Rs 650 crore, which is 100 percent more than the Rs 324.81 crore of the previous year,” it said.

The Directorate of Geology and Mining has implemented a number of transparent policy changes during the last three years.
These include the improvement of the e-Ravanna site, the e-tendering procedure, and efficient enforcement to prevent illicit mining.

The state’s mining income has increased significantly as a result of these measures. Compared to the objective of Rs 875 crore, the state’s income in 2023–24 was Rs 645.42 crore, a 40% increase over 2022–23. In addition, during the first eight months of 2024–2025, this income grew by 100%.

The state administration has taken action to use contemporary technologies to make the mining industry transparent and resilient.

“Mining Digital Transformation and Surveillance System” is being used to install 45 mine check gates.

The plan is moving along quickly, and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) have been signed with ITI Limited. Periodically, the e-Ravanna gateway is reviewed to ensure that illicit mining and transit are effectively prevented.

E-tendering has been used to distribute mineral lots in the state’s four main districts: Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, and Nainital.

Revenue has increased as a result of these actions. The state administration has supported regulatory changes and the streamlining process in an effort to boost mining income.

The Uttarakhand Sub Mineral Parihar Niyamavali and Stone Crusher Policy has been amended to enable better utilization of mineral resources.
