In order to prevent disturbances and uphold law and order during the celebrations, Section 163 is put into effect to increase security. To maintain peace and order in the state, the Uttar Pradesh police have also released security instructions.

All Zonal Additional Director Generals of Police, Commissioners of Police, Regional Inspectors General, Deputy Inspectors General, Senior Superintendents of Police, and Superintendents of Police in the state were instructed to comply by Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar.

The rules state that sensitive locations must be designated for security deployment and that police preparations must be established under the zone and sector concept. When necessary, police pickets, gazetted policemen, and static magistrates should be positioned in very sensitive areas.

Authorities have been directed to update the list of antisocial components for preventative action and to stop the introduction of any new customs. Reviewing conflict records is necessary to guarantee prompt resolution.

To gain their support, the DGP has placed a strong focus on meeting with religious leaders and members of the peace committee. According to the statement, senior authorities have been instructed to visit all locations, lead flag marches with sufficient police and PAC troops, and include the CAPF that is available.

For quick problem solving, judges and police station in-charges should visit contested areas together.

According to the statement, foot patrols will be increased in public locations, marketplaces, and busy areas. Bomb-detecting teams and sniffer dogs will also frequently undertake anti-sabotage inspections. It is also important to make sure that business locations have firefighting arrangements. To manage crises, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) need to be positioned in key areas.

To avoid undesirable events, police have been instructed to create and practice an action plan. Authorities have been directed to take prompt legal action in response to any suspicious conduct, and the intelligence network is to continue operating.

It has been required to install CCTV at strategic points, deploy sufficient police troops on procession routes, and use drones to monitor vulnerable regions.

Increased social media monitoring is planned, with an emphasis on spotting and dispelling inaccurate or misleading content. Any such material should be denied right away, and if required, legal action should be pursued.

The ‘Alvida Namaz,’ which is scheduled to be delivered today in advance of Eid, is already being prepared at mosques.
