Uttar Pradesh: Promoting use of seatbelts and helmets at work place through “No Helmet No Fuel” campaign in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Noida: The Gautam Buddh Nagar government will now concentrate on urging both public and private sector enterprises to make sure their staff wear seatbelts and helmets when traveling, after the success of the “No Helmet, No Fuel” campaign.

Road accidents are a major worry, according to Assistant Regional Transport Officer Siyaram Verma; therefore, this project aims to include local government offices, companies, and enterprises in the area in protecting the lives of their workers.

“No helmet, no gasoline is a fantastic program that saves a lot of lives. Our next step in this respect is to get in touch with the Gautam Buddh Nagar district’s government buildings, private sector industries, and offices and urge them to require their staff to wear helmets and seatbelts. Meetings with individuals from various regions would take place soon in this respect,” Verma told the media report.

“This program attempts to save lives in the many incidents that occur in our state and nation… Now that many people are wearing helmets on the highways, this is a huge accomplishment for the nation,” he said.

Five persons were killed and five injured when a cruiser vehicle traveling from Mahakumbh to Varanasi recently crashed with a parked truck close to the Mirzamurad police station.

The car struck the parked truck on the highway from behind during the event, which took place in front of Rupapur village in the vicinity of the Mirzamurad police station, according to the police.

On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna unveiled the state’s FY 2025–2026 budget, which is Rs 8,08,736 crore, a 9.8% increase over the previous fiscal year.

In order to boost economic growth and enhance public services across the state, the budget places a high priority on social welfare, education, healthcare, technology, and infrastructure development.

The budget’s capital expenditures, which account for 20.5% of the overall allotment, demonstrate the government’s focus on transportation, industrial growth, and investment-driven initiatives.

Infrastructure has received 22% of sectoral allocations, followed by education (13%), agriculture and related services (11%), the medical and health sector (6%), and social security programs (4%).
