Upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections: Kapil Mishra says it is an “election for change” and claims “anti-incumbency wave” in Delhi

New Delhi: Kapil Mishra, the candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Karawal Nagar seat, said that the next Delhi Assembly elections would be an “election for change” and that the city is seeing an “anti-incumbency wave.” He also seemed certain that the BJP will establish the administration in the capital.

“Change is what this election is about. Delhi is experiencing a surge of anti-incumbency sentiment. The BJP administration would be established in Delhi on February 8, 2025,” Kapil Mishra informed the media report.

“All of their transgressions will be revealed, including their corruption, dishonesty, and falsehoods, as well as their alcohol policy. Another problem is that the AAP did not come out to aid the people during the 2020 riots, and now they have issued a ticket to someone who attempted to assist Tahir Hussain. This has caused people to be upset and will respond appropriately to them,” he said.

The AIMIM has put forth Tahir Hussain, a defendant in the 2020 Delhi riots case, from the Mustafabad seat. After his name came out in these accusations, he was suspended from the AAP, where he had previously been affiliated.

Mishra continued to attack Kejriwal, claiming that the former chief minister will be brought back to Tihar prison.

“It is stated on a board outside Tihar Jail that Kejriwal will return and that he will only go there. The BJP candidate said, “His (Arvind Kejriwal’s) credibility is finished; he is the former chief minister and will soon become a former politician as well.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke at a public gathering in favor of Kapil Mishra earlier on Sunday.

“Dilli Kejriwal is free on February 8th.” Let him go now. Over the last ten years, you have endured enough. During the event, Chouhan said, “Kapil Mishra is not only a leader of the present; he is also Delhi’s future.”
Candidate Kapil Mishra praised the address, saying, “Chouhan ji gave the Delhi public a voice; their speech had the pain of Delhi and also hope that people will not get trapped and vote for change,” Mishra added.

The elections will take place on February 5 and the vote count will take place on February 8. For the 70 Assembly seats in the National Capital, 699 persons are running.

With 67 and 62 seats out of a total of 70 seats, respectively, the AAP dominated the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections, while the BJP only managed three and eight seats.
