The results of the by-elections in 15 states and the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly Elections were counted at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Trends are anticipated to emerge in the first few hours of the counting, which will determine the outcome of the 288 seats in Maharashtra and the 81 in Jharkhand.
Prior to the vote count, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirpuam, who is running from Dindoshi, was seen entering the Siddhivinayak Temple early in the morning. Nirpuam is certain of winning.
“I’ve come here to ask for Shree Siddhivinayak’s blessings. With his blessings, I have no doubt that I shall prevail. Like me, the Shiv Sena, BJP, and Ajit Pawar’s party candidates will win, and Mahayuti will once again form the Maharashtra government,” he said.
For the next Maharashtra assembly elections, Kalidas Kolambkar of the BJP has been put up from Mumbai’s Wadala seat. Kalidas Kolambkar has served in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (MLA) eight times. Since 1990, Kolambkar, who shifted from the Shiv Sena to the Congress and subsequently the BJP, has never lost an election.
Over 66 percent of voters turned out to vote in Maharashtra’s Legislative Assembly polls on Wednesday, above the 61 percent turnout in the 2019 elections. The MVA coalition, which consists of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), is a fierce rival to the Mahayuti alliance, which consists of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP. The higher voter participation is seen by both coalitions as an indication of support for their respective campaigns.
The MVA, which consists of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), is in a bitter struggle with the Mahayuti alliance, which is made up of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, in Maharashtra.
