Two minors are detained by Delhi Police in relation to a man’s murder in Maujpur

New Delhi: In relation to the murder of a person in Maujpur, the nation’s capital, Delhi Police have detained two youngsters. On December 11, 2024, the police discovered the victim—whose identity has not yet been verified—injured close to Puja Modal School in Ghonda, Maujpur, Delhi.

Police said that at 2:30 AM on Wednesday, they received a PCR call. When they arrived, they discovered that the victim had been transferred to the hospital in a PCR van, where he was pronounced dead. Under section 103(1) BNS, the police opened an investigation and filed a case.

A police squad under the direction of an inspector conducted the inquiry. ACP Bhajanpura oversaw the formation of Surender Kumar, SHO/PS Jafarabad. The group set up technical surveillance and viewed and analyzed CCTV material from nearby cameras.

Additionally, the team collected intelligence from sources that were deployed locally.

The team was able to identify two suspects based on the information they had gathered. Two children in conflict with the law (CCLs) engaging in criminal activity were apprehended by the team after conducting several raids.

They acknowledged their involvement in the crime under examination. According to the police, they found a stolen two-wheeler used in the crime, a knife, and Rs. 200 in cash. The victim’s identity is still being sought by the authorities.
