In addition to helping the community and addressing the rising demand for fish—which now exceeds supply—the festival provided a platform for increasing participation. The event showcases the state’s efforts to fulfill the growing demand for fish and guarantee sustainable development in the sector, with a particular emphasis on assisting local farmers and boosting output.

In an interview with the media report, Sudhangshu Das, the Minister of Scheduled Caste Welfare, Animal Resource Development, and Fisheries for Tripura, underlined that the government wants to assist as many people as possible with these programs.

“This is the third time we have had a state-level Fish Festival in Tripura. The primary goal is to motivate Tripura’s fish farmers to put in more effort in the fishing industry so that more people may become involved.

We want to assist as many individuals as we can with this event. It has attracted a large number of participants. Although our state produces a lot of fish, it is significantly less than what is needed. In order to boost our output and satisfy public requests, we are striving to resolve this problem,” Das said.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently said that the state government is prioritizing efforts to improve the state’s healthcare system during the oath-taking ceremony of Agartala’s Government Nursing College at the IGM Hospital Complex. In a statement from the CM’s office, he emphasized the government’s plan to construct a health hub.

With the plan to construct a health hub, the state government of Tripura is attempting to further fortify the state’s healthcare system. Nurses must build strong relationships with patients’ families while delivering care in order to expedite health services, according to CM Saha.
