Tripura CM Manik Saha highlights Tripura’s progress in health services
Agartala: On Sunday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the state’s advancements in healthcare. The Chief Minister was present at an event held at Mandwi Mandal’s booth number five on the Mailuma School grounds.
Saha said during the broadcast that the state is effectively doing kidney transplants at no cost. The introduction of liver and bone marrow transplants is planned.
With over 400 physicians graduating each year, the state has expanded medical college seats in an effort to improve medical education.
Kidney transplants are now being successfully carried out throughout the state at no cost. Future plans include the introduction of liver and bone marrow transplants. Additionally, there are now more places available at medical schools. Approximately 400 physicians graduate from the state’s medical schools each year. There are now 100 places available at Tripura Medical College, and 50 more have been applied for,” he stated.
In order to improve health care, he noted, a super specialty department has been established at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.
“Super specialty hospitals will be built in the near future, at an estimated cost of Rs 700 crore. The amount of land required for these projects has been determined. The establishment of these services will eliminate the need for patients to seek care outside of their state. To guarantee top-notch medical care in Tripura, renowned businesses from outside the state have taken part in the pre-auction process. Through the Act East Policy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is offering assistance in a number of ways,” he said.
The current state administration, according to the Tripura chief minister, is always striving to improve the general well-being of the populace while taking their requirements into consideration.
He said that today was the airing of the 117th edition of Mann Ki Baat, a well-liked program that highlights several beneficial events both domestically and internationally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi covered a number of subjects in this episode, such as the Bastar Olympics, Mahakumbh, the Digital Media Conclave, and the 75th anniversary of the Constitution.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi visited the state yesterday and took part in a review meeting, according to Saha.
“We informed him of a number of things. Tripura recently hosted the 72nd plenary session of the North Eastern Council with great success. Nobody had predicted that the state would see such a momentous occasion. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, presided over this crucial meeting,” he added.
The state government is dedicated to working for the welfare of the people, the chief minister said.
“The needs of the people are the basis for the efforts being undertaken. There are initiatives in place to help people become self-sufficient. There used to be between 4,000 and 5,000 self-help organizations throughout the state. This has already increased to almost 56,000. More than 13,000 government posts have been openly offered since this administration took office, according to Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister also met with the local Janajati Samajpatis during his visit to hear their thoughts and worries.
