Tripura CM Manik Saha attends inauguration of state tourism promo fest 2024
Agartala: The state’s tourism department hosted the Tourism Promo Fest 2024 inauguration on Tuesday, which was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
The occasion, which took place in Narikel Kunja, close to Dumboor, showcased the area’s potential for tourist expansion. The festival seeks to draw tourists and support the growth of local tourism by showcasing Tripura’s many tourist attractions, scenic beauty, and rich cultural legacy.
“Tripur has enormous tourist potential since there is so much natural beauty wherever you look. The State is holding Tourism Promo Fest 2024 for the first time to highlight its beauty on a worldwide scale. In addition to additional tourist amenities, including homestays, a recently built footbridge, and an office building, this state-level event was officially opened today at Narkelkunja in the Dhalai area. For a one-of-a-kind experience, I’m welcoming travelers from all across the nation and the globe to #IncredibleTripura,” the CM said on X.
CM Saha said that agar trees are a gift for the state as he opened the 4th International Agarwood Conclave and Buyer & Seller Meet 2024 earlier on Monday.
Both the state and federal governments of Tripura have backed the agarwood sector. In order to promote recognition and economic development, the sector is also attempting to get GI labeling for agarwood.
As the top-producing state in India for agarwood, Tripura offers enormous potential for agar production. The state has successfully attracted clients from the international market by exporting a record quantity of the same in recent years.
The agarwood business has received substantial backing from the federal and state governments, with a projected investment of more than Rs 400 crore.
