Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the government gives special priority to the development of education infrastructure
Gomati: According to Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, his administration has made building the educational infrastructure a top priority and is trying to offer kids from all walks of life access to high-quality education.
“The state’s education system’s comprehensive infrastructural development has received particular attention from the administration. After kicking off the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School, Udaipur, here on Thursday, Saha, who also serves as the education minister, stated that it has also concentrated on implementing various education policies, with review meetings being held on a regular basis in this regard.
“Actions have been made to alleviate the teacher shortage in educational establishments. The government is trying to improve the teaching process and provide high-quality education. Children from underprivileged, neglected, minority, and indigenous areas are being given access to school,” he said.
He emphasized that in order to provide the state’s youngsters access to high-quality education, the late Ramesh Chandra Dutta founded Ramesh School in 1951 as a private establishment outside of Agartala.
“This school is now well-known across the nation.
Currently known as Udaipur Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School, Ramesh School is among the oldest educational institutions in the state. Graduates of this institution have achieved success in a variety of significant roles, both domestically and beyond. Former state MLAs and chief ministers are among its graduates,” Saha said.
He also underlined that in an effort to improve the nation’s educational system, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the National Education Policy.
“The state administration is working toward this objective. In the state’s schools, special efforts have been made to update the educational infrastructure, install smart classrooms, and construct new buildings. The state used to have no universities, but now it has a central institution as well as other private and public universities. Additionally, efforts have been made to hire enough instructors for the schools,” he said.
On behalf of the Ramesh Alumni, Saha and Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy received life memberships at the occasion.
