Tourist greatly appreciated the arrangements of the Maha Kumbh Mela
New Delhi: As North India struggled with chilly weather on Tuesday, a heavy layer of fog persisted in covering the area. Both residents and visitors to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, said that the weather was quite cold, but they also praised the excellent winter preparations.
“The accommodations provided are excellent, despite the extreme cold at the moment. In order to stay warm, we are sitting close to bonfires,” a resident told the media report.
A visitor from Prayagraj named Ratan Jaiswal said that Ayodhya has an abundance of services.
“We even dipped in the sacred river since it’s so chilly here in Ramnagari. Tourist Ratan Jaiswal said, “The arrangements made here are very good, and we are not feeling the shortage of anything.”
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature ever recorded in Ayodhya was nine degrees Celsius.
Despite the cold weather in Prayagraj, people gathered at the Sangam Ghat.
The severely cold weather hasn’t stopped travelers from swimming in the sacred rivers, according to traveler Amit Kumar.
“Even though it has been very chilly here, we have come to worship and swim in the sacred river. We packed every kind of clothes we needed,” Kumar told the media report.
Another visitor, Vinod, praised the accommodations provided by the administration.
“The Maha Kumbh Mela is about to start here, and the government has made very good arrangements; they have improved since last year,” said Vinod.
In Prayagraj, the lowest temperature ever recorded was 10 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, images from Rajasthan showed a fog covering the city, making it impossible to see anything.
Additionally, images depicted individuals sitting close to bonfires for warmth.
According to IMD, the lowest temperature ever recorded in Jaipur was 11 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, the temperature in Delhi was 11.6 degrees Celsius.
The Met Department predicts that the day’s lowest temperature will be 8 degrees Celsius, with a high temperature of around 19 degrees Celsius with “dense fog” covering the city.
