Three men vandalised ‘Akbar Road’ signboard in Delhi

Delhi: Three individuals vandalized the ‘Akbar Road’ signboard on Thursday, alleging that the monument of Maharana Pratap near Kashmere Gate ISBT had been damaged. The guys painted the signboard with black paint and glued posters of Maharana Pratap on it while shouting “Jai Bhavani.”

Additionally, they called on the police to prosecute those who were accused of damaging the monument of Maharana Pratap near the Kashmere Gate ISBT.

“India would not put up with Maharana Pratap’s disrespect. The incident at ISBT Kashmiri Gate is being suppressed by the Delhi government and police administration. One of the men, Amit Rathore, said, “Those who are guilty should be arrested and immediate action should be taken against them.”

They are constantly taking down the signboards depicting conquerors like Akbar, Babur, and Humayun, said another guy named Vijay.

“We are attempting to get the administration to open its eyes and make a choice by consistently dismantling signboards of invaders like Akbar, Babur, and Humayun… The assailants destroyed temples, raped our mothers and sisters, hung them from trees, and destroyed India’s togetherness. “Why are we the only ones doing this, and where are the other members of society?” he said.

This follows a social media video that went viral showing damage to the sword and hand of Maharana Pratap’s monument at Kashmere Gate.

On March 17, however, violent altercations broke out in Nagpur due to the demand that Aurangzeb’s tomb be removed.

Commissioner Ravinder Singal said on Wednesday that 50 persons, including seven juveniles, had been taken into custody by Nagpur Police in relation to the city’s unrest.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis promised Wednesday that the city is at peace and that the matter is being looked into further.

“The Nagpur violence case is still being investigated… The city is now at peace. In recent years, there haven’t been any riots here. All of this was done on purpose by certain individuals… They disseminated the rumor on purpose. He addressed the state legislature, “We will be able to meet the many challenges on the issue of law and order.”
